Bear Medicine
Bear medicine is the great healer. The bear carries the power of introspection, as the greatest of healing comes from within. Like how bear searches out the sweetness of honey from inside the hollows of a tree. The bear is also known to dig up roots & plants for its own healing. The bear is constantly in a cycle of regeneration. They are great spiritual beings because of their power of resurrection through rebirth. In winter the bear retreats to the darkness of a safe cave. The cave is a womb of the earth protecting and nourishing them. In this earth womb the bear must access and draw upon every bit of itself to make it through the winter. There they reflect and digest their whole years work to then be reborn in spring. Coming out weaker in body but stronger in spirit as they have shed what no longer serves them. We too must enter the great void of darkness because it is there in the silence where all the answers lie.
