Yellow Dock Tincture

1 oz bottle of yellow dock tincture. Made from fresh yellow dock root from our homestead property in Northern Ontario, extracted slowly in gluten free alcohol. Yellow dock contains mildly laxative anthroquinone glycosides and bitter compounds that stimulate digestive enzymes. Anthroquinones are yellow-brown dyes that intestinal bacteria metabolize into anthranols. These in turn hinder the absorption of sodium, water and chloride in the bowel which help hydrate the stool. As well a stimulating the digestive system it helps to soothe the digestive lining making it useful against irritated bowels. The roots cooling and healing properties has also made it useful in treating a varieties of inflammation internally and externally in conditions like irritated coughs, eczema, psoriasis, arthritis and rheumatism. A great tonic of the digestive, lymphatic and respiratory systems within the body.
